DECKSTORE of South Carolina appoints new president.

Specialty LBM holdings and our subsidiaries including DECKSTORE of SC, are committed to competitive growth and excellence in the building materials industry and so it is with great pleasure to announce the addition of Mr. Richard Kahn to our team of professionals. Richard’s
responsibilities as President and General Manager will be to oversee the daily operations of our DECKSTORE business unit. His tasks include a redefined aggressive growth plan and implementation of new policies which we believe will take DECKSTORE to the next level of providing products and services to our customers in the southeast regional market and beyond.

Richard is a 30+ year professional in the wholesale and retail building materials industry and a fourth generation lumberman with humble roots dating back to the early 1900’s when his great-grandfather emigrated from Russia founding their family lumber business in New Jersey. Upon completion of his bachelor’s degree in Political Science at S.U.N.Y., New Paltz, Richard carried on the family tradition working for 16 years in his family’s retail lumber business, Wood-Ply. The lumberyard featured a full line of building products including general framing materials, decking and hardwoods, and exotic marine products. Richard spent much of his time in the sales and management aspects of the business as well as implementing internet marketing. Continuing his
career, Richard joined Feldman Wood Products of Garden City Park, NY where he rose to the position of sales manager. There he added several successful product lines such as hardwoods and redwood products. Richard’s passion for building materials and commitment to customer service are his strong suits and make him a logical choice for the position here at DECKSTORE. He has a wife and one son who is currently on active duty in the US Army. His hobbies include fishing, riding his motorcycle, and monitoring the stock market. We could not be more pleased with our choice and Richard’s decision to join the team here at DECKSTORE.
