NADRA, 2016 Main Event – Huge Success! NADRA Announces National Award Winners at The Hard Rock Café, Baltimore, MD

NADRA hosted their Annual Awards Dinner & Sixth Annual National Deck Competition at The Hard Rock Café on Thursday, October 6th, 2016. Attendees included NADRA members and guests, NADRA’s National Board of Directors, Deck Competition Participants, spouses and crews, as well as, NADRA Sponsors. The Hard Rock was nearly sold out with over 200 guests.  Attendees included NADRA Members from as far away as Ontario, Canada, Western Washington and even Australia! “As always, the NADRA Main Event was the place to be Thursday night! It was wonderful to come together, celebrate some jaw-dropping good work, and see some old friends we’ve been missing. The fact that our party could be heard across the bay was pretty cool, too!” Says NADRA Treasurer, Matt Breyer, Breyer Construction.

Mr. Hammond presented NADRA’s 2016 Recognition Award to Andrew Clements with BrightClaim. Andy commented on his recognition: “For over a decade BrightClaim’s Warranty Services has assisted the exterior building product industry by providing cost effective third-party warranty services. This provides the opportunity to work closely with a wide variety of industry leaders and associations.  NADRA represents an association driven to assist members and the betterment of the industry. It is BrightClaim’s privilege to be a part of the NADRA family.  We are  honored to receive a recognition award to assist the decking industry with the Consumer Product Awareness Charter.  The NADRA CPAC program’s goal is to assist consumers, manufactures, resellers, and installers.  It’s a great honor and privilege to assist NADRA help the decking industry. The 2016 Terry Award was presented to Bill Ross, Fiberon. Bill was unable to make it this year, but James Gunning was present to accept the award on his behalf. “ find it somewhat ironic that the one year (since the inception of DeckEXPO) that I was not able to come to the show or the NADRA Big Event, that this is the year I get the much respected Terry Award.  If I was a little paranoid I might wonder if it’s a payment for not showing up…, but I am not paranoid.  I am honored and humbled and joy-filled. As I said, I don’t wonder if it was a payoff, and if I didn’t wonder about that, I certainly don’t wonder whether or not it was time well invested.  My association with the NADRA has been a fantastic growth experience,  working not just for the company,  Fiberon, in which I earn my living, but  for the greater industry in which I thrive and gain great satisfaction.  It has been a lot of hard work at times and a whole lot of fun almost all the time. One thing that would make it all much better was if my peers stepped up to fill board leadership roles.  The industry needs you!
