CPG International Announces Prices Increase on Residential Products
CPG International, manufacturer of AZEK and TimberTech branded building products has announced that it will initiate pricing increases on many of its products. AZEK trim and molding, along with most AZEK brand decking collections, will see an increase of 7%. Prices for capped wood composite decking products under the TimberTech brand will increase from 3-5%, depending on the collection. The price increase will have an effective date to AZEK and TimberTech distributors for orders placed on or after June 22, 2017 for shipments completed before August 22, 2017.
The company expects that by setting the August 22nd extended the deadline for shipments on orders placed before June 22nd, most retailers and contractors should be able to get through the height of the deck-building season and into the late summer or fall without being impacted by the increased prices. But, the key for distributors, contractors and dealers is to plan ahead and get orders placed before that June order deadline.
In a statement, the company noted that the industry has experienced significant increases in key raw materials and other direct production inputs across most PVC and other composite products. While the company has been able to off-set much of the impact of these cost increases over the past year through on-going manufacturing improvements and other cost reduction efforts, raw materials costs had reached the point at which a price increase was needed.
