Alternative Decks $36k-$70k

This was one of our more fun deck builds this year. The deck is completely waterproof and features lot PVC trim and decking as well as a high-end cable railing system. The staircase posed a slight challenge as it had a unique shape and the cable railings with Mahogany cap had to be custom fit on the spot. Some serious joinery was involved in cutting, fitting, gluing and screwing the cap to make it appear as one continuous piece. Deck tied in nicely with the patio below for a complete backyard retreat.

Client came to us wanting a deck that could withstand a flood. We came up with a plan and engineered it using Fortress framing beams as braces and the Fortress steel frame system including Fortress stair framing. Timber Tech Reserve Decking was installed along with our custom aluminum rails. The biggest hurdle is the area flooded 1 week before we started so the 100′ 4×4 boom equipment and scaffolding sat for a week before we could start. Completed the project on time and homeowner was super happy with the results.

Designing a new deck with a drop-down lounge area with a fire feature was exactly what our client was looking for. Topped with a lineal kitchen at the end.
