Leading Contractors Awarded for Unique Deck Builds using AZEK® and TimberTech® Materials
SKOKIE, IL — The recent North American Deck and Railing Association (NADRA) 2017 Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee brought together industry experts in celebration of the most inspiring deck builds from the past year. Four of the award-winning decks were made using AZEK® and TimberTech® decking from AZEK Building Products.
With a beautifully-designed, two tone TimberTech deck, Fresh Decks from Sasketchewan won first place for Alternative Deck $25,000-$50,000. Completed from TimberTech’s Terrain Collection® in Rustic Elm, the unique deck features an inlayed mural with two evergreen trees, rolling hills, waves and a sun, framed by a box, pergola.
Lakesville, Minnesota-based Infinite Decks won two awards for Alternative Deck up to $25,000. Each project featured curved decking from AZEK, using colors from all three collections. One showcased Island Oak from AZEK’s Harvest Collection®. It included Hazelwood accents, from AZEK’s Arbor Collection®, for the picture frame and inlay. The other project featured AZEK in Dark Hickory from the Vintage Collection®.
“For these award-winning decks, we used various AZEK products to bring indoor living to the outdoors,” said Mark King, founder of Infinite Decks. “We’ve been working with the AZEK product for as long as we can remember. We do a lot of curved decks and we’re able to heat it up and manipulate it. With varying temperatures here, from 100 degrees in the summer to -20 in the winter, I want to use a product that I know can withstand the elements – and I know AZEK will hold up.”
AZEK also received a Manufacturer Award for a TimberTech Pecan deck with Mocha accent from the Legacy Collection®. The project was built by Archadeck of Nova Scotia and included a multi-level composite deck with Evolutions Rail® Contemporary in Traditional Walnut and Riser Lights.
