Builders FirstSource completed the acquisition of, Sunrise Wood Designs, a manufacturer and installer of custom cabinetry in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas market.
Founded in 2007, Sunrise Wood Designs has a 168,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility from which the company manages its entire integrated cabinetry process—from design, manufacturing and finishing to installation and service.
This acquisition supports Builders FirstSource’s strategic expansion of installed products and services to offer customers comprehensive end-to-end solutions for their building needs.
The announcement flows logically from the company’s acquisition-oriented mindset that was described during its recent second quarter earnings call. “Our M&A pipeline remains healthy, and we believe we can continue to acquire in a fragmented market,” said CEO David Rush.
Other recent acquisitions made by Irving, Texas-based Builders FirstSource include Western Truss & Components of Northern Arizona; CRi SoCal, a single location dealer and installer of high-end windows and doors in Orange County, California; and Wyoming Millwork, an independent building products distributor in Delaware.
Builders FirstSource is the largest U.S. supplier of building products, prefabricated components, and value-added services to the professional market segment for new residential construction and repair and remodeling. The company operates in 43 states with approximately 570 locations and have a market presence in 48 of the top 50 and 90 of the top 100 MSAs.
