Premier Composite Decking and Railing Brand Adds New Color Options to its Portfolio
ATLANTA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–MoistureShield®, a signature brand from Oldcastle® APG, today announces an expanded color selection for its Meridian™ composite decking and Traverse™ composite deck railing lines. MoistureShield Meridian is now available in Shoal, a new neutral colorway, while Traverse railing has added a Black option, capitalizing on current home aesthetic trends.
With the addition of Shoal, a tranquil driftwood tan bridging warm and cool tones, Meridian composite decking now offers five color options. Traverse now includes four neutral colorways, including Black, for a modern and sleek look.
“As we look at recent trends and consumer preferences, these color additions allow homeowners and contractors to explore a variety of options to enhance their next outdoor project,” said Matthew Bruce, Vice President of Sales at Oldcastle APG. “Shoal joins our coastal-inspired collection of Meridian deck boards, while the addition of Traverse in Black supports the rising homeowner interest in architectural black that we’re seeing across the market. These additions speak to our commitment to listening to our customers and end-users to provide them with products that meet the latest trends in outdoor living.”
Meridian is a capped composite decking option from MoistureShield with color-enriched deck boards featuring TruTexture™ Surface. The capped composite decking offers a low-profile wood grain pattern and reduced pattern repetition to evoke the look and feel of real wood, combined with all the protection and performance of The Solid Core Difference. Shoal is the latest of three Meridian deck board options that feature MoistureShield’s CoolDeck® Technology, a first of its kind decking product that reduces heat absorption by up to 35%* to create a more comfortable outdoor living space.
Traverse is a composite deck railing option from MoistureShield, with a contemporary T-Rail profile vinyl cap for ease of maintenance and strong material composition to defend against damage from moisture, rot, insects and other harmful elements. The railing features square vinyl or black round aluminum balusters and comes with concealed fasteners to suit any home’s aesthetic.
MoistureShield continues to add to its comprehensive product lineup, featuring innovative composite decking and railing options, further expanding to meet the needs of contractors and homeowners. A leader in its category for innovation, the brand prides itself on sustainable and quality materials, defying the elements and inspiring better living for years to come.
