Thomas Dillon from South Sea Carpentry joined the NADRA summit 2025 all the way from Wollongong, NSW Australia – an hour south of Sydney. Tom runs a decking and carpentry business, specialising in outdoor entertaining areas.
He is a member of ADHRA (Australian deck and handrail association), a newly developed association that begun approximately 3 years ago after the founding members had seen what NADRA was doing in the united states within the industry and wanted to take it across the pond!
ADHRA recognized his work in 2023 awarded him, 2nd place for best timber deck and 2nd place for best handrail. In 2024, he was awarded 1st place best alternative deck, 1st place best handrail and 1st place best overall deck.
It was from this award that he received an all expenses paid trip for two to the NADRA summit.
Tom has over 20 years experience in the building industry and he has found his passion in creating backyard spaces for his clients. Using a combination of timber and composite products he feels it gives him the freedom to help design and create a space people can truly enjoy for years to come.
