The North American Deck and Railing Association (NADRA), is dedicated to recognizing and promoting excellence in the outdoor living and decking industry.

As part of this commitment, NADRA holds an annual awards presentation and celebration to honor exceptional professionals and their outstanding projects in the outdoor living industry.

This occasion acknowledges the hard work and talent of the best in the business. The awards showcase the most innovative, creative, and inspiring projects in the industry, from stunning deck designs to impressive dock builds and everything in between. The recognition of these projects is a testament to the level of excellence that NADRA strives to achieve, and it helps to set the standard for the outdoor living and decking industry as a whole.

NADRA’s 2024 event took place on January 3 – 5th at the Grand Wyndham Resort in Clearwater Beach, FL. Over 200 NADRA members, teams, spouses, and children were in attendance at the 2024 event. 

The festivities commenced on the evening of Wednesday, the 3rd, with a lively welcome party and a cocktail hour offering a picturesque beachfront view beyond the balcony. 

The morning following the welcome party began with a buzz of excitement as NADRA members gathered for Industry Awards and a high-energy roundtable discussion.

Throughout the years, our journey at the North American Deck and Railing Association (NADRA) has been enriched by the unwavering support, dedication, and loyalty of our valued members. It is with immense gratitude and admiration that we recognize the exceptional commitment of our members who have been with us for 10, 15, and 20 years. These individuals have not only witnessed but actively contributed to NADRA’s growth and evolution, embodying the very essence of our organization. Join us as we celebrate their enduring dedication and contributions to the NADRA community.

The Pinnacle Award: 

The Pinnacle Award, a prestigious inaugural accolade in our industry, represents a historic milestone in NADRA’s journey; 20 years. This distinguished award is presented to individuals who exemplify unwavering commitment, tireless dedication, and outstanding contributions that have left an indelible mark on both NADRA and the decking industry as a whole. With profound gratitude and immense admiration, we bestowed The Pinnacle Award upon Lainie Sleppin, a member who has set an unmatched standard of excellence, serving as an inspiration to us all.

Thank you, Lainie Sleppin, for your years of exceptional dedication and remarkable contributions to our industry.

2023 Terry Award:

In recognition of your outstanding contributions to NADRA and the decking industry, we are honored to present the prestigious Terry Award to Andrew Pantelides. This award is a symbol of your unwavering dedication, visionary leadership, and tireless commitment to advancing our industry. Your exemplary efforts have made a lasting impact on NADRA, and we are profoundly grateful for your continued support. Congratulations Andrew, on this well-deserved recognition.”

About the Roundtables: 

We hosted an engaging series of roundtable discussions, spanning a diverse range of topics, where our members came together and delved into meaningful conversations over the course of approximately 2.5 hours. These insightful discussions were thoughtfully facilitated by designated table leaders who diligently recorded the ideas and insights shared by each group. The roundtable generated close to a collective 1000 comments, ambitions, concerns and views all of which expressed the aspects of the market that are on the minds of the industry. Topics included, Adapting to Changing Demands, Challenges and Solutions, Education, Advertising, Marketing, Products and Trends, Utilizing NADRA Benefits in your Business. 

Our esteemed NADRA member and international ambassador, Barry Davis, then skillfully compiled and tallied these responses, presenting a comprehensive summary of the outcomes to the entire assembly at the conclusion of the sessions. 

In the coming weeks, NADRA members can look forward to accessing details from discussion topics, overviews, and the comprehensive summary of outcomes of the successful roundtables via our exclusive membership platform, ‘NADRA Connect.’

These conversations not only fostered knowledge exchange but also facilitated valuable connections among our members.

 

Awards Night! 

On Thursday, January 4th, attendees gathered for a memorable evening at the cocktail reception and awards dinner. The much-anticipated event began with the screening of the video compilation, showcasing all the remarkable entries. Guiding us through the evening with charm and wit were our hosts, Michael Beaudry and Bobby Parks.

The reception kicked off with an enjoyable hour filled with refreshments. It was a time of enjoyment and relaxation, setting the perfect tone for the evening.

Attendees enjoyed the evening’s festivities alongside their partners, teams, spouses, dates, significant others, family members, and friends from across North America and beyond.  The menu featured an array of culinary delights, from sushi to tenderloin medallions. Every bite was a culinary journey that left guests feeling satisfied and content.

In conclusion

From the moment we stepped into the hotel until we bid farewell on Friday, it felt like a reunion of long-lost family members. Our organization’s 20-year vision to build a foundation of core values such as integrity, trust, and honor, with a community of professionals willing to share and support one another, has been realized through NADRA.org. We extend our gratitude to those who couldn’t be with us physically but tuned in from different parts of the world.

Our board of directors and committees are already working together to enhance education, drive membership, and promote our association’s sponsorships. We invite all industry professionals to join our family and take part in your industry’s association.

Congratulations to all the participants and member partners who supplied the remarkable innovative products that we get to use as we transform our clients’ lives. We are incredibly proud of everyone and thrilled about what we will accomplish together in the coming years.
