Your fellow NJ NADRA members are getting ready for DeckExpo Chicago. And we wanted to pass along the great stuff we found.
Several of us have already booked our flights. The best airfare deal–far and away–is with Frontier, out of Trenton Mercer Airport. They have a nonstop leaving each morning at 7:00 AM, arriving at 8:15. And a nonstop return leaving Chicago at 10:05, arriving around 1:00. Many of us have our reservations for Wednesday to Saturday. We reserved seats in the 4th and 5th rows. And we’d love nothing more than for you to join us there. Flight numbers are F9 915, and F9 916, respectivel
The airport is small, and friendly. There are two gates, and a bar. Long-term parking is just steps, literally, from the “terminal.” And the baggage claim uses a single roller dispenser. No motorized carousel here. This is luxury/economy, my friends.
If you’re in, here’s the best plan. Go to Frontier.com, join their rewards club, and book your flight. Right now it’s $89 each way. That’s up from $69 each way earlier this week. You can be sure this will continue to go up as the plane fills. So get your ticket early.
Anyway, once you’ve got your ticket, pay an extra $12 and reserve your seat up with the rest of us. Also, be aware that the bag other airlines regard as a carry-on will cost you $25 on Frontier. So check it and it only costs $15–same bag, different price. They do allow one personal item, like a purse or laptop. But you can be sure they will charge you for your second item. It’s how they make their money
