The NJ Deck for a Soldier® build in Brick Township was a total and complete success! What an awesome way for builders, manufacturers and material suppliers to come together for the good of the community, we are “Jersey Strong”. The NJ Chapter would like to send out a special thanks to all of the suppliers and manufacturers who donated materials, without your continuing support there would not be an amazing program like Deck for a Soldier®
The list of those who supplied materials or donated services, getting these materials to the job site are as follows:
- Trex, for their Elevations steel framing, and lunch one day during the build
- Fiberon, for the decking, fascia and riser boards
- Regal Ideas, for their aluminum railing and three color LED lighting package
- AZEK, for their Vast paver system and breakfast one day during the build
- Niece Lumber, for lumber and building supplies
- Myles F. Kelly for building supplies
- Simpson Strong-Tie for hangers, connectors and screws
- Mid-State Lumber, for hidden fasteners, deliveries and lunch one day during the build
- All Star Disposal for the use of their dumpster and the trucking fees that go along with it
- Ocean County Landfill for the space to dispose of the debris created by this job
- D. Waldron Trucking & supply for delivering materials to the job site
We would like to thank everyone who volunteered their valuable time during busy deck season. Our builders truly honor those who sacrifice their lives every day to keep our great nation free and safe. A special update acknowledging those who volunteered time will follow next week. A sincere Thank You must go out to Gustavo delaCruz of Barrett Outdoors for taking the lead on this build and his generous gift of time spent on site every day overseeing the work as it progressed. True men like yourself Gustavo, definitely show our NJ Chapter of NADRA how to Rock!
