Brands Make Plans for New Instagram Tagging Feature
Instagram is officially doubling-down on its product tagging feature, recently announcing it will be rolling out the functionality to all users in the United States, no longer reserving it for just brands. Instagram has already well documented how an increased cadence of tagging increases a brand’s on-site conversion rate: Tag a product at least five times across a month’s time and almost double your purchases, per Instagram. But that only accounts for branding tagging their own products. What does it mean that now every Instagram user and creator in the United States will be able to tag a product?
